Headquartered in Valencia, California, Semco Instruments, Inc. operates out of two modern facilities: 38,000 square foot facility in Valencia, CA and a 27,000 square foot facility in Nogales, Mexico. These facilities are able to house all the capabilities needed to service both the fast delivery of prototypes and steady rates of high volume production. We also operate under a Lean Manufacturing philosophy wherein process improvement is a continual focus throughout our organization. As a result of our Lean Manufacturing philosophy, we have dedicated cells for thermocouple material fabrication (Mineral Insulated Cable) and each product family. Through this process improvement, we now operate a single-shift capacity at over 100,000 units per year.

Semco Instruments has always believed in using the latest technology to drive productivity and maintain the highest level of quality and communication. Semco incorporates T-1 facilities to interface electronically with customers, fellow employees, and suppliers. A Local Area Network (LAN) system offers integrated connectivity with all functions for both facilities to enable employees to improve efficiencies and enhance customer support. Sophisticated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is used for production and material planning. A significant number of customer orders are downloaded electronically. Bar Code technology is used throughout the manufacturing and material control processes for real-time tracking to increase productivity and improve accuracy.
